CALLING ALL VENDORS  -  APPLY NOW FOR THE 2008 SEASON

The Market is now accepting applications for vendors for the 2008 Season.  Please go to the top of the page and click on the VENDOR tab.  There you will find the Rules of the Market and a 2008 VENDOR APPLICATION.  There are a few key points on the Vendor page that will explain the geographic range of our market and a few of our Market requirements.  Please review the Rules of the Market before you apply.

New craft vendor applications should be accompanied by photos of the craft.

ALL vendors (new and returning) must submit a certification form.

SWEET POTATO DAY & BULB SALE


   Come out Oct. 18 for a day of tasting great Nash County sweet potatoes and stock up on bulbs! The Master Gardeners will be having their bulb sale! We will have fried sweet potatoes, muffins, and plenty of recipes. Thanksgiving is just around the corner - stock up for your thanksgiving feast. Sweet Potato Fast Facts: Very high in vitamin A, also high in vitamin C, and contain high levels of antioxidant's. Not only do sweet potatoes taste like dessert, they are good for you!
   November 1 will also be a very busy day. We will have our annual Antique Car and Truck Show! Drive your antique vehicle to the market, or come and enjoy the view. Have you gotten all your Christmas shopping done yet? Also on Nov. 1, we will have the Tar River Basketweavers! The basket ladies make beautiful baskets, which make an excellent gift. Their well made baskets last more than a lifetime and become a family heirloom to pass down.
   Share a little bit of the farm with your family and friends! We have tons of NC Farm Fresh products that you can stuff in a basket, box or container to make a memorable surprise! Select from coffees, jams, soaps, vinegars, jewelry, hand-painted items galore, pottery, grits, flower gift certificates, potted plants, hand-made quilts, etc.... The list goes on and on! Just make sure you pickup up your Christmas gift items from the market by Nov. 22nd! This is the last day of the market this year. The Market will reopen early spring 2009!
